- Description : The three fold composition depicts the Holy Trinity as the main theme being flanked by two of the Archangels.
In the middle of the central scene of this horizontal panel, through a large dark cloud the Father the Son and in the middle- in the form of a dove – the Holy Spirit are presented. In the left side the Father is depicted as a vigorous old man-white haired clad in red mantle and a black maphorion (chasuble) He carries a gold scepter in His right hand. Christ is depicted as a young man with long rich brown hair. His body is covered with a rich golden mantle.
The scene is surrounded with angelic orders and playful cherubs. In the right side of the icon Saint Michael is depicted full length carrying a palm branch. In the left section Saint Gabriel is depicted carrying a Madonna lily and a flower garland.
Various Western stylistic and iconographic elements are employed in the icon. It is conjectured that the icon created by a Zakinthian artist.
