  • Description : The saint is depicted in full- length frontal position sitting on wooden richly carved throne. He is shown dressed in impressive hieratical vestments. He wears dark blue himation, exceptionally embroidered with cross motifs, and a white hiton decorated with pale grey striations. The figure of the face of The Christ surrounded by angels adorns the epigonation. His Episcopal robes are completed by a red cross-marked omopohorion. It is worth to note that his head is covered a monk’s cassock.
His holds a closed jeweled gospel in his left hand while he is blessing with his right.
The icon is most probably painted in the saint’s patron island that is Zakinthos.
