He is sitting on having his body slightly turned to the left holding an open scroll, his left hand is stretched out, in a gesture of supplication.
He wears a monastic garment - an orange chiton, and a dark red epitrahelion, (a garment worn around the neck), that falls gracefully in the centre of the body. His himation is of dark-brown color with darker hues that close around the neck.
On his head he wears a white ribbon, tied like a turban and falls on the shoulders. This designates the Saint’s Arabic origin.
