He bears an open gospel book with his both hands on which a discernible text written in gold majuscules is inscribed. The text is written is in Greek language on the verse, “IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD, AND THE WORD WAS WITH GOD AND THE WORD WAS GOD. THE SAME WAS IN THE BEGINNING WITH GOD. ALL THINGS WERE MADE BY HIM” (John 1:1 – 3).
He wears a dark blue cloak with narrow luminous areas, and a bright blue tunic. The techniques employed in the modeling attest affiliation to Paleologan type.
