Description : The location of the church dominates the hill offering a magnificent view towards the historic Mountain Hymettos, in Paiania with Mesogia and Penteli in the background. Legend said that during the construction of the church, stone from the ancient time of Demosthenes, rolled to the place of the church and the constructors embodied them in the masonry. In the interior a small oil lamp is always lit enlightening the frescoes of Jesus Christ, John the Baptist and the Virgin Mother, acting also as a symbol of constant faith.
