During the earlier time the chapel was also name the Philosopher’s Monastery.
The monastery was partly ruined by the Bavarian period and finally was abandoned. Since 1975, serves as a Catholic monastic center with nine nuns.
The architectural layout follows the traditional cross-in-square plan layout with the masonry build in the cloisonne system. It has a lobed door with simple ornamentation around the frames.
Fortunately the frescoes inside the church are in good position although they have undergone various deteriorations as a result of the course of time.
