  • Description : A two tier portable icon. On the lower part of the icon, the Apostles Peter and Paul, together with St. Paraskevi are represented in a bust length.
    On the top level Christ is represented in the Deisis type flanked by Virgin Mary and John the Baptist.
    The icon has a dedicatory inscription and it is dated in the beginning of the 19nth century.
    The thematic disposition of the traditional representation of the scene of Christ being deposed from the cross is depicted in the particular icon. The icon has been painted by the only female painter from Lefkafda Island. The icon is a replica of western type painting of the same theme and it is dated in the beginning of the 19nth century.
