    The Saint is centrally presented on standing position following the Palaelogian style of painting that later was affiliated by the Cretan School (Post-Byzantine).
    He is depicted stepping on rocks, having wings on his shoulders, a familiar motive since the 13 century.
    He is blessing with his right hand while he is holding his decapitated head served on a dish. The saint depicted is holding a cruciform rod that ends to a ramrod cross. His golden halo is decorated with spiral spring leaves.
