- Description : Centrally displayed in the portico of the museum, is the Gospel book, upon which the members of the “Filiki Eteria “(The Friends Society) took their secret oath on the 30th of January 1821.
The Gospel book was printed in Venice in 1799.
It brings a masterful silver binding dating around 1805. It has a rich oeuvre of interlaced guilloche pattern, depicting Christ as a “Vine” on the front side, while the “Resurrection of Christ”, is depicted on the back side.-
