- Description : St.Theodosios figure is on the left side of the icon. He holds an inscribed scroll with his left hand while blessing with his right. He is dressed with dark colored chasubles and represented frontally and full length. His gaze is directed towards the viewer. The characteristic of his face has been rendered in a manner so as to express corporeality and chastity.
On the right side of the icon Saint Onoufrios is depicted. The hermit-saint is presented standing in full-length frontal position slightly turned while his pictorial facial expression conveys order. He is painted wearing a leaves garland on his naked body while he is leaning on a wooden stick. His hands are shown crossed on his chest and a long white beard reaches his skinny shanks. A palm tree from which St Onufrios was fed is painted in between.
At the bottom of the icon one of the two Strofades islands is depicted.
The monk’s cemetery, the small temple of St.Onufrios along with the dedicated monastery buildings can be depicted on the background.
