  • Description : In an area with intense Byzantine tradition, near the village Stefani, the ruins of the Monastery Archangels existed. Since 1900 only the main church (Katholiko), was saved.
    In the registry of the Monastery the change of the name to Saint Demetrious Monastery is evident since 1693.
    The monastic community through huge efforts manages to reconstruct the whole Monastery after the destructive earthquake in 1981.
    From the treasures of the temple one can mention pieces of the old church reliquaries (two of them are kept in the Museum of Corinth),the elaborate icons , fragments of relics of Saints Forty martyrs and Saints Charalambos Athanassios and Tryphon.
    The Monastery can be found to the west side of the Mountain Nymphaio.
