- Description : The Katholikon (main naive) of the New Monastery has the traditional cross-in-square plan with a dome. The dome rests on four pillars and the shape of the cross is built in four is pillars.
The Sanctuary maintains a bi-lobed window in central niche so as abundant light come through the small rectilinear windows on the side. The sanctuary maintains a two-lobed window at the central conch and narrow window like structures for letting the light comes through.
The Monastery of the Assumption Hiliomodi has been rebuilt where previously there was a small chapel dedicated to Saint Marina, and was a part of the old monastery.
