Description: Christ is depicted on a bust length, centrally located and looking directly at the viewer. Against a gold background, he is clad in a light green himation with pale white striations and a wine red chiton with broad brush red color pleating.
He is holding a closed gospel adorned with geometrical patters with his left, while blessing with his right.
A punched halo is incised around his head. The outline of his head and the symmetry of his features prevails an important craftsmanship.
The robust body, the modeling of the lineament along with the artistic interpretation and execution, suggests an important icon of the 16nt century.
