Description: The church belongs to the Monastery of John the Baptist – the Hunter. The chapel stands among the ruins of other ancient buildings. It is structured in a beautiful environment a few meters away the urban landscape of the Mesogion Av.
Under the 800 years of the chapels existence has undergone through various reconstructions and also it has been moved for more than twelve meters, in order to facilitate the widening of the Mesogion Avenue in 2002.
According to, Professor. A. Orlandos, the church at the beginning was a parish church of the locals, and was dedicated to Saint Paraskevi and Saint Trinity, before the church of the Holy Cross was inaugurated.
